Jaguar is considering making a hardcore, track-focused, Coupe-only version of the XKR-S, which is already extreme for a Jaguar.
The model would likely remove the rear seats, air conditioning and probably ditch navigation too. There is not word about whether power would be increased or if it might just be radically lightened. Due to its track-focused character, there might be a fire suppression system and roll cage.
Jaguar plans to build just 100 XKR-S models, and whether these more extreme versions would eat into that is not known.
There is a slim possibility this car could be on display at the Geneva Motor Show, but it is unlikely. If we see it, the extreme XKR-S will more likely be at the Paris Auto Show on September 27.
There has been no name circulated for the faster XKR-S, but let's speculate a little. How about XKR-R after the fastest version of the last generation Jaguar XK?
