Design

In terms of design of the new forward Cross Coupe GTE is dominated by horizontal elements, beginning with the grid across the width of the vehicle LED lamps are small. Hybrid powertrain

In addition of unveiling its new SUV design line of Volkswagen, the Cross Coupe GTE also serves to introduce the new plug-in hybrid powertrain of the German brand to be introduced in the medium and large models in the coming years.

The new powertrain combines a 3.6-liter V6 petrol engine and two electric motors, one on the front and one on the rear. The three engines produce a total combined output of 360hp. Power is transmitted through a dual-clutch six-speed gearbox that has the ability to offer front, rear and all-wheel drive.

According to Volkswagen this system allows the Cross Coupe GTE will reach 100km/h in 6 seconds and a maximum speed of 209km/h. In electric mode the vehicle has a range of 32km.
