a week before the start of the new season in Monte Carlo. The new vehicle will try to grant a third consecutive world title to both Ogier and the German brand.

The teams behind the wheel of the Polo R WRC remain intact with Sébastien Ogier/Julien Ingrassia, Jari-Matti Latvala/Miikka Anttila and Andreas Mikkelsen/Hello Fløene, giving to continuity a key role in the success achieved in the previous years.

According to Heinz-Jakob Neusser, Board Member for Technical Developments, focus on development of the Polo R WRC was in efficiency, reliability and performance. According to Neusser technical upgrades under the the bonnet and in terms of structure were made.

One of the major innovations of the 2015 car is the introduction of a hydraulic transmission which is operated by the steering wheel shift paddles. In addition there was an effort to review all Polo R WRC components in order to make them simpler, lighter and stronger.

Visually, the big difference of the new Polo R WRC is the shift from the predominant white color to dark blue. The white and light-blue stripes eventually converge to the white rear that gets a new wing.

The 2015 WRC season kicks off with the traditional Rallye Monte Carlo from 22 to 25 January.
