Ford B-Max Rated as Best-in-Class for Fuel Economy and CO2

Ford has had its B-Max tested, and it has been rated as the best vehicle in its class in terms of fuel economy and emissions for both its petrol and diesel engines.

The 1.6 liter TDCi diesel with 95ps delivers 104g/km of CO2 emissions and 4.0l/100km of fuel consumption. The 1.0 liter Ecoboost with 120ps has produces 114g/km and 4.9l/100km of petrol fuel consumption.

The B-Max comes with auto stop/start, an Eco Mode information system, Gear Shift indicator and Regenerative Braking to recharge the battery.

Ford considers the B-Max's rivials the Opel Meriva, Citroen C3 Picasso and Renault Grand Modus.

“Our goal with B-MAX was to redefine the segment through technology and ingenuity – and that includes delivering the very best fuel economy,” said Barb Samardzich, Vice President Product Development for Ford.

The B-Max will be on display at the Geneva Motor Show and be on sale later this year.
