The fourth generation Audi A4, otherwise known as the B8, was first publicly seen in September 2007 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Audi initially introduced the sedan model only and not until the Geneva Motor Show of March 2008 did the company release the ‘Avant’ wagon version.
The new model has slightly larger dimensions than its previous generation, which subsequently allows for more legroom in the backseat. Although larger, the B8 is actually lighter, given that its weight dropped around 10% from the previous model. The B8 A4 is currently in active production.
