sold 3,630 cars in 2013, the highest in its history, and its fourth consecutive year of record sales. It opened 15 new dealers worldwide in 2013 and now has 120 worldwide.
“I stated at the beginning of last year that I wished to see further sustainable growth, I am therefore delighted with this fourth successive record year, a result that reaffirms our leadership of the super-luxury segment,” said Torsten Müller-Ötvös, Rolls-Royce CEO.
In the future Rolls-Royce is looking seriously to add an SUV to its range. The company believes that it could sell 2,000 units a year if it was built. Rolls-Royce has generated internal renderings of the proposed truck, but it is still years away from production. The Rolls-Royce SUV has not been given the green light yet.
“We are moving on with [the SUV project], but our other products are performing well and we don’t need to rush.”
Rolls-Royce also added 100 new employees at its headquarters in Goodwood, England and now employs 1,300 people.
The company is the world’s leading automaker of cars that cost over €200,000.
