is also being upgraded for next season because the technical regulations are changing.

The Japanese Super GT series and DTM are aligning their rules for the 2014 season, which means that there is a good possibility that Europe and Japan could see the cars race together for the first time next season. For next season, the Super GT GT500 class and DTM will have the same technical regulations, which allows for the cars to race together.

At the press conference, Honda announced the NSX Concept-GT, which is based on the NSX Concept that was displayed at the North American International Auto Show in January. A mid-mounted 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine and a hybrid system power the racecar.

Lexus announced that it would begin racing a GT500 version of the LF-CC next season. It is based on the concept that was first unveiled at the 2012 Paris Motor Show.

Nissan announced its updated GT-R Nismo GT500, which had to be modified to fit with the new rules.
