The 208 T16 Pikes Peak was created by Peugeot to race in the Unlimited class at Pikes Peak.
This is the first time Peugeot joins the race since 1989. The 208 T16 is made completely out of carbon fiber. The car is powered by an 875hp 3.2-liter, twin-turbo V6 mounted in the middle of the car that will propel it to 100km/h in 1.8 seconds or to its top speed of 240km/h in 7.0 seconds. Power is sent to all four wheels via a six-speed sequential transmission with steering wheel-mounted paddles. The chassis is made from tubular steel covered in a carbon fiber body with a total weight of 875kg (1929lbs).
The 208 T16 borrows many parts from the 908 prototype including the brakes, running gear, air intake and rear wing.
