The new GTI returns equipped with a new 1.4-litre TSI engine that maintains the traditional standards of the range’s dynamic performance.
The four cylinder engine, with petrol direct injection plus turbo and supercharging, has a maximum output of 180 PS, at 6200 rpm, and a maximum torque of 250 Nm maintained from 2000 rpm up to 4500 rpm. The new GTI model accelerates from a standing position to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds and can reach a top speed of 229km/h.
According to Volkswagen the new Polo GTI is the lowest emitting and most efficient GTI of all times. It should have a fuel consumption of 5.9 litres per 100 kilometres, representing CO2 emissions of 139 g/km.
