Toyota Prius (Japan, 1997-present)

Prius is a compact car launched in Japan in 1997. The full hybrid electric hatchback reached the European market in 2000. The currently series, the third generation, is sold in 38 countries. Throughout the first decade of its existence the Prius has been voted Car of the Year by European, Japanese and American motoring journalists.
