The Toyota iQ 1.4 D-4D was launched in 2008. It is the 1st generation of the microcar model. Under the hood, the version is powered by a straight 4 1364cc engine which delivers maximum output of 90 hp at 3400 rpm and a maximum torque of 190 nm. The iQ 1.4 D-4D features the biggest engine offered. This microcar reaches the 100km/h mark in 11.80 seconds at a top speed of 170 km/h. The vehicle has good values it terms of speed when compared to the other versions on this series. It is the fastest version with a higher top speed. This car has a transmission with 6 speeds and manual gearbox with front wheel drive. The consumption is directly linked to these numbers. The Toyota iQ was first presented at the 2007 Frankfurt Auto Show as a concept vehicle. In 2008 at the Geneva Auto Show it was introduced and set to go into production and reach the european market in January 2009. The iQ is available with a 5- or 6- speed manual transmission and models with the 1.33 litre engine already include start/stop system.
