Well, for all you readers who have read my last post regarding the 1970`s Porsche 914, here are some pictures of the altered engine block. The compression rate on this baby is around 1:10 which will give it a nice torque.

There is something new to report: we found and are negotiating as we speak the Webber 45mm carburators. As you may know, these are extremely rare on the market and took us ages to find a pair of doubles for this specific engine.
All the nuts and bolts where made (not bought). And I (oh, the privilege) personally helped inserting the pistons into the cylinders, which is a pretty hard job to do, considering that it is a pretty tight fit.Be on the lookout for my next posts.

Let`s hope my next one has a video of the engine's first startup :)

Hehehe, that's a special oil, specific for new camshafts. It's like a... welcome drink. A toast in it's honour! :)

Looking good! Is this a full restoration project, or you just doing an engine rebuild? I missed the first post... :)

It's just the engine, for now. We have already changed the engine, but it's not the final engine yet. It's got the 2.0L now, the most powerful engine was giving us some trouble so we had to rectify so...
