For 2012, Nissan has boosted power from the engine and strengthened the transmission. The body has been reinforced, there is a stronger transmission and carbon ceramic brakes became optional. For an even more extreme car, Nissan is offering a track pack that firms things up even more and ditches the rear seats.

Engine and transmission updates

The 2012 Nissan GT-R got its power boosted to 550PS (404kW), up from 530PS (390kW), and torque is at 632Nm, up from 612Nm. more

The second generation Nissan GT-R offers, alongside the standard GT-R model, three other versions: the GT-R Black and GT-R Premium editions plus the more exclusive GT-R SpecV model.

The Nissan GT-R was first introduced in Japan in December 2007 and has since continuously undergone a number of improvements and an overall permanent evolution. While retaining its advanced, multifaceted type of performance throughout the years, the GT-R has been internationally awarded several times, having summed up over 50 top award titles in different categories.

Nissan’s latest GT-R model received quite a few updates and improvements, especially in terms of navigation, suspension, cooling performance and catalyst system. More importantly among these features, a number of entertainment functions were added to the GT-R’s navigation panel, while the car’s suspension underwent some demanding enhancements and recalibrations.
