Toyota TS030 Second Le Mans Car Driver Lineup

Toyota TS030 Car 2 Driver Lineup

Toyota Motorsports has officially announced the driver lineup for the second TS030 that will race at Le Mans.

The drivers for the second TS030 that will race in the 24 Hours of Le Mans will be Anthony Davidson, Hiroaki Ishiura and Sébastien Buemi.

Davidson was a test driver for BAR, Honda and Brawn GP in Formula 1 from 2001 to 2009. He also raced for the Super Aguri in 2007 and 2008. He also raced for the Peugeot team at Le Mans in 2010 and 2011.

Ishiura drives for the Lexus Team SARD in the Japanese Super GT series.

Buemi was a test driver for Red Bull Racing in 2008 and raced for Toro Rosso from 2009-2011. He is currently the reserve driver for Toro Rosso, and the TS030 will be his debut to sports car racing.

“This is an exciting driver line-up for our additional car. Anthony, Hiroaki and Sébastien are talented and intelligent drivers who have achieved plenty already in motorsport, so we are very confident they can make a positive contribution to TOYOTA Racing. Our drivers are selected on the basis not only of their speed and consistency, but also their ability to work well within a team and it’s been great to see the positive attitude all three have already brought to our project,” said Yoshiaki Kinoshita, Team President.

Toyota had already announced Alex Wurz, Nicolas Lapierre and Kazuki Nakajima as the drivers for the TS030 that will compete in the World Endurance Championship.
