The transmission is the same eight-speed automatic from the standard LS, but it capable of moving the car to 320km/h (199mph) and to 60mph in 3.9 seconds. It also gets a harder suspension and Brembo carbon ceramic brakes. The car on display is a one-off for now.

Toyota is also showing the a suite of race cars in Essen. The TS030 is obviously the brand's hybrid LMP1 car, and driver Alex Wurz will be at the show signing autographs. It is also showing two of its customer racing cars.

The GT86 CS-V3 is primarily designing to race in the CS-V3 class at the Nürburgring but is eligible in other series as well. The Yaris R1A is meant as an introductory rally car with the 1.33-liter engine with 98hp from the Yaris but with motorsport upgrades. Prices start at €22,500 excluding VAT.
