Toyota Corolla Becomes World's Best Selling Car Ever

Toyota has overtaken the Ford F-Series pickup trucks as the top selling car ever with 37.5 million made. Since both models are still in production and will likely continue to be, the Corolla and F-Series will probably go back and forth  for the title for years to come. In comparison, Ford has sold 35 million F-Series pickup trucks. 

The sales rate of Corollas calculates to Toyota selling one nearly every 40 seconds. The Corolla has been in production for 10 generations and is on sale across the world. 

The 10 best selling cars of all time in order from 10 to 1 are the Chevy Impala, Volkswagen Passat, Ford Model T, Honda Accord, Honda Civic, Ford Escort, Volkswagen Beetle (1933-2003), Ford F-series and Toyota Corolla.
