concept. BMW is aiming for more than just style with the car; it will also be the most aerodynamic generation ever. The sedan will launch first and be followed by wagon and GT body styles.

The 5 Series will also be the first BMW to get the company’s new semi-autonomous driving system that will allow drivers to take their hands off the wheel, but they still must pay full attention to the road.

It is possible that even BMW’s 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine could be included, and the 2.0-liter four-cylinder will certainly be included for at least the European market. A plug-in hybrid version will also be offered. It will also be offered with a further evolution of the current 4.4-liter V8. Many of the engines will be offered with a new nine-speed automatic supplied by ZF.
