has scored a five-star rating from Euro NCAP and met the test's stronger test standards that began in January 2013. It had an overall score of 80.5%. It scored 32 out of 36 points for adult protection, 39 out of 49 for child protection, 22 out of 36 for pedestrian protection and 7.3 points out of 9.

It was not a huge surprise for Renault to get a five-star score for the Captur. It shares a platform with the new ClioClio Gen.4Renault Clio Gen.4France, 2012 > present97 versions

Renault was especially proud that the Captur scored a 7.9 out of 8 in the side impact test. It features two impact detection sensors on each side that adjust the speed that the head-thorax airbags deploy depending on the impact.

The Captur is the 15th Renault model to score five stars in the Euro NCAP tests since 2001.
