is the cleanest Opel model ever made. It uses a 95hp and 190Nm 1.3-liter diesel engine with stop/start and uses 3.3l/100km and emits 88g/km of CO2. The five-door model is slightly dirtier at 3.4l/100km and 89g/km of CO2. It takes the ecoFlex 12.3 seconds to accelerate to 100km/h and has a top speed of 177km/h.

"In just five years, from the first Corsa ecoFLEX to today, we have been able to reduce consumption and CO2 emissions by 26 percent – while at the same time increasing performance by over 26 percent. Our customers appreciate this, as does the environment,” says Mike Ableson, Opel vice president of engineering.

The new model represents an improvement over the previous 1.3 CDTI ecoFlex that used 3.5l/100km and 94g/km of CO2. The improvement for the new version comes from a variable displacement oil pump, low viscosity transmission oil and better engine mapping. Opel also improved the transmission with lower force necessary to change gears. The ecoFlex also rides on low rolling resistance tires.

All Corsas expect for the OPC get a retuned suspension that is meant to be more comfortable.
