that shares the platform with the first two. The new generation was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show and has major visual changes.

Toyota will invest in the conquest of the younger urban market and refers that the new Aygo is a vehicle meant to be fun. Although agreeing that the new radical design can create polarized opinions, the Technical Director of the new Aygo, David Terai said that the model was made to stand out in the urban segment.

In a market that has become very competitive since the launch of the original Aygo in 2005, Toyota believes that the striking X-shaped shaped, bubbled roof and side window design will make the model stand out in its segment.

The new Aygo is 3.75m long, 25mm longer than the previous generation, and 8mm wider. Toyota states that the cabin gives a sense of greater amplitude and provides more space to the driver. The center console and the screen were placed 50mm further back.

The three-and five-door continues to be available with the Aygo, but the new generation will get a retractable roof as an optional, similar to what happens in the 108 and C1. Toyota will also invest in a personalized program that lets you change the color in the front end, rear bumper, lining of the center console and doors and more.

In addition, according to Toyota customers or second hand owners will easily be able to change or remodel the exterior and interior finishes.

At launch the new Toyota Aygo will only be available with a 70hp 1.0 three-cylinder engine.
