McLaren launches two new racing cars

have received several modifications in terms of chassis and aerodynamics in order to prepare the cars for the high demands of competition. While the 570S GT4 is a purpose-built racer that’s been developed by McLaren GT and motorsport specialist CRS GT Ltd, the 570S Sprint has been created as a trackday vehicle.

570S GT4

The 570S GT4 is a track car that can be homologated for several world GT categories. To do so McLaren GT and CRS GT Ltd introduced a race-focused chassis, which includes djustable dampers and coilovers, centre-locking magnesium wheels and a roll cage approved by FIA regulations.

To prepare it for the track, the 570S GT4 received a full aerodynamic package, including reshaped aluminium and carbonfibre bodywork, a larger front splitter, a smoothed floor assembly and an adjustable rear wing.

The track car gets the same 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine from the road car, with a 570hp output and 600Nm of torque. Race restrictors may force these numbers to decrease.

570S Sprint

Although it shares many parts with the GT4, the 570S Sprint is more of a trackday car that retains certain creature comforts to make it more usable. No exact specifications have been released yet, but it also gets a road-specification engine and receives its very own aero-package.

The 570S Sprint will allow its buyers to upgrade it GT4 spec if at some point they feel the need of a more potent package.
