Mazda just released a video teasing the next Mazda 6, and it looks so similar to the Takeri that it had to say it was not it in the Youtube description.
Now that we know what the next Mazda 6 will look like, we can start speculation about what will power it. A few months ago, the boss of Mazda USA confirmed that Skyactiv engines would play a major role in the future, and there will be no six-cylinder engines in the next generation. Europe will likely get the Skyactiv diesel, but it is unlikely in the US.
The styling of the sedan looks great. Now let us see if Mazda can build modern engines to back it up.
