Lyonheart Attempts to Modernize the Jaguar E-Type

The Jaguar E-Type is one of the iconic sports cars in terms of style and performance. It was a beautiful car that could perform with best cars in the world at the time. A new company is hoping to revive the E-Type design while subtly modernizing it as well. 

The Lyonheart K was designed by Classic Factory, a Swiss design company, to look like a modernized E-Type.  The Lyonheart K will be a truly British sports car claims Classic Factory. The car's mechanical aspects and production will take place in England. When it goes into production the Lyonheart K will be fully hand built. 

The car is powered by a supercharged, 5.0 liter V8 with 550ps and 680Nm of torque. The exterior is made of carbon fiber with an aluminum chassis. It weighs just less than 1,600kg. It will accelerate to 100km/h in four seconds with an electronically-limited top speed of 300km/h.

The interior will combine carbon fiber, leather, wood veneer, polished stainless steel, brushed aluminum and chrome. 

The first 50 Lyonheart Ks are available for order now at a base price of €495,000. The first deliveries are expected in 18 months.
