is possibly the worst kept secret in the brand’s history, but the Japanese luxury automaker has managed to keep one thing a secret – the power of its V8.

Lexus promises that the RC F has the most powerful V8 in the brand’s history, but the exact amount of power is still not know.

Compared to a standard RC, the F has wider wheels and tires, an active rear wing, larger air intakes, brake cooling ducts and optional carbon fiber trim.

The front grill is slightly modified and features and F motif instead of the Ls on most Lexus models. The hood has a power dome to fit the larger V8. Behind the front fenders, air outlets pull cool air through the wheels and brakes, and at the back, the RC F has four-outlet stacked exhaust pipes. The rear wing deploys at 50mph and retracts at 25mph.

The interior of the RC F features unique instruments, a new steering wheel and sport seats.

More details about the RC F will be revealed at the Lexus press conference at the North American International Auto Show on January 14.
