Ford unveil the latest in a long line of ready to go race cars

Ford has revealed a new hot Focus, the ST-R. It is an off the peg race car aimed at “professionals, amateurs and track day enthusiasts”.

The new Focus ST road car forms the basis of the race car, but is purpose built by Ford Racing in North America. It features a 2.0 litre EcoBoost engine, FIA roll cage, uprated brakes and track tuned suspension.

The ST-R has been developed to be eligible for World Challenge Touring Cars, the Canadian Touring Car Series and the Grand-am ST among others.

North American customers in particular will appreciate the ST-R’s lineage as the latest in a long line of turn-key race cars produced by Ford, including the Boss 302R and Mustang Cobra.
