BMW Group Sales Up 13.2% for October, Up 8.8% for Year

Group continued a strong year in 2012 in October with unit sales up 13.2% to 157,618 cars for the year so far; the company is up 8.8% for the year to 1,493,153 cars. 

“Following a record third quarter, the BMW Group posted its highest ever sales for the month of October. We achieved solid gains in many of our markets last month, especially in Asia and the Americas and we aim to continue the momentum in the next months," said Ian Robertson, head of sales and marketing at BMW. 

BMW Group October sales were up 36.5% (41,028 cars) in Asia, including up 51.7% (27,828) in China. Sales in the Americas were up 20% (39,154) and down 0.3% (71,368) in Europe.

The BMW brand actually out performed the rest of the company. Total sales worldwide were up 15.4% (132,823) in October. MiniMINI (BMW)MINI (BMW)Germany, 2000 > present15 models

BMW Motorrad sales were up 7.7% (7,596), and Husqvarna was up 44.1% (973).
