returned to the DTM for the first time in 20 years this year, and partially thanks to a fantastic race at the final round at Hockenheim, it won the Drivers' Championship with Bruno Spengler, the Team's Championship with BMW Team Schnitzer and Manufactures' Championship. The car is meant to look like the M3 that Spengler drove fro Team Schnitzer in Frozen Black metallic paint with carbon fiber trim, chrome pieces, matte black wheels, carbon fiber reinforced plastic roof and trunk and an M stripe along the roof and trunk. an M decal behind the front wheels and a Spengler decal with Canadian flag on the rear window. 

The interior uses carbon fiber trim, and the dashboard has a carbon fiber trim piece signed by Spengler and showing the car's production number. Other interior upgrades include an Alcantara steering wheel, handbrake with "M Power" logo and Novillo leather trim with Palladium Silver stitching.

Technically, the car includes the Competition package, M Drive, M DCT Drivelogic and the M Driver’s Package. It also gets a navigation system, heated seats, park distance control. 

Buyers will be given the options to attend a BMW M Fascination Nordschleife driver training course and meet Spengler

Prices will start at €80,190 in Europe including local taxes. The cars will not be sold in the US. BMW is still deciding whether it will sell the DTM Championship Edition in Canada, Spengler's home country. The possibility is still there.
