The Aston Martin Vantage is getting some tweaks for 2012 that include slightly changed exterior styling, a new transmission, bigger brakes, quicker steering and bigger wheels.
On the outside, the Vantage gets tweaks from the N400 version that include a lower front bumper with larger air intake and changed side sills.
The Vantage gets a new seven speed, Sportshift II automated manual transmission as an option to replace the previous six-speed Sportshift option. Aston Martin says that the new transmission offers closer ratios for faster shifts.
To make the Vantage an even better driver, Aston Martin made the tires 10mm wider, added a quicker 15:1 steering rack, compared to 17:1 before, and 380mm cast iron ventilated brakes with six-piston calipers.
The Vantage S also gets the Sportshift II, seven-speed as an option. It also gets a carbon fiber aerodynamic package on the exterior that includes carbon fiber trim inside as well.
The V12 Vantage receives no upgrades for 2012 other than the new V12 Zagato being available on its chassis.
