showcar (meaning Vision 2020), a SUV that sets the stage for the brand’s future and gives a step towards the new design language. The concept previews the first SUV model from Seat, set to be unveiled at next year's Geneva Motor Show.

“The 20V20 shows our ambition”, said Seat President Jürgen Stackmann. “It is our guiding star and the lighthouse for our development for the coming five-year period”.

The Seat 20V20 combines the silhouette of a four-door sports coupé with the refinement of an SUV and the versatility and utility of a mid-size estate car. With 4659mm of length the car offers a  generous amount of space and premium ambience for five passengers. It includes a comprenhensive package of driver assistance systems raises the levels of comfort and safety even further. The array of drive options is multi-faceted, ranging from the high-performance TSI and TDI motors to plug-in hybrids. The power is delivered to the wheels via the DSG transmission and electronically controlled all-wheel drive.

In terms of design the 20V20 gets a robust stance featuring 20in wheels and strong front-end with  adaptive full-LED headlamps. Its sports looks are in no way aggressive.

Five-year strategy

Over the next five years Seat will be applying the Leon product formula to the entire range and focus from the small car to the compact car category. In addition, Stackmann reaffirmed the brand’s commitment to enhancing connectivity, which is backed by an agreement announced with Samsung.

The President of Seat also announced that in the first two months of the year the brand's sales have grown 7.5%, continuing the work done in the previous two years where the brand manage to grow sales by more than 10%. Stackmann underscored that Seat has been able to grow solidly on the big EU markets, including Germany, Spain, the United Kingdom and Italy.

The success of Leon helps to understand the growth in sales. In fact, for the first time in Seat's history, the LeonLeonSeat LeonSpain, 1999 > present3 series
