about:

The Jeep Liberty (KJ/KK) (Jeep Cherokee outside North America) is a compact SUV produced since 2002. The model replaced the Cherokee (XJ) and is priced between the Wrangler and Grand Cherokee.

The Liberty is a 4-door SUV with front-engine, rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive layout and features a unibody-on-ladder-frame construction. The current generation of the Jeep Liberty was introduced in 2008, offered as Sport and Limited versions with V6 engine and a six-speed manual or a four-speed automatic transmission. The six-speed manual transmission was dropped in 2009 and the four-speed manual became standard.
