The company that builds the famous Jeep offroad vehicles was officially set up in 1941 in the city of Toledo, Ohio, United States, where it is still headquartered. Today, Jeep is a subsidiary brand of the Chrysler Group LLC.
It is the oldest producer of off-road and SUV vehicles which have gained popularity with private customers and also find wide use for military purposes. Jeep currently offers five different models, which are either offroaders, SUVs or crossover SUVs.
