Isuzu Motors Ltd., headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, was established in 1916. As a result of a merger between Ishikawajima Automotive Works and DAT Automobile Manufacturing in 1933, the company changed its name to Automobile Industries Co., Ltd. In 1949 the company finally changed its name to Isuzu Motors Ltd.
The brand produces small to medium compact automobiles and commercial cars which are sold worldwide. It became especially known for its pick-up trucks.
