Introduced in 1998 as mid-size SUV the Dodge Durango is a full-size crossover SUV from the Dodge division of Chrysler. At the time of launch the Drango arrived as a replacement for the Ramcharger, a model discontinued back in 1993. In 2004 the model would be redesigned to full-size.

The Durango was produced at the Newark Assembly plant until the end of 2008. The production of the model returned in 2010 on a shared platform with the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
