Daewoo is a South Korean carmaker founded in 1967. Throughout the years, Daewoo had many names, and it was only in 1982 that the name of the company was changed to Daewoo Motors. Daewoo means “Great Universe” and the group is present in different markets: trading, motor vehicles, shipbuilding, heavy industry, aerospace, consumer electronics, telecommunications, and financial services.
