Designed by Bertone in 1974, the car was intended to be produced as the smallest Lamborghini, but later the idea was dropped. The prototype was presented at the Torino Auto Show and was even used in intensive testing for more than 65.000 kilometers. This car is currently at display in the Bertone Museum. The new design for the magnesium wheels was later used for the Countach.
