Launched at the 2008 North American International Auto Show in Detroit and Montreal International Auto Show, the BMW X6 is a mid-size luxury crossover produced by German automaker BMW.

Marketed as a Sports Activity Coupé (SAC), the X6 combines the attributes of an SUV with the stance of a coupé. While slightly longer and wider than the X5, it is significantly lower and seats only four people.

In 2009 BMW added to the X6 lineup M and Hybrid (ActiveHybrid) versions of the SUV.
