The Astra-Gnome was a far-fetched, strikingly unconventional automobile built in 1955 by the Richard Arbib Company. The company, with headquarters in New York, was founded by the Visionary American Designer Richard Arbib. The Astra-Gnome, which is creator called the “Time and Space Car" was based on the Nash Metropolitan and, among other strange features, had a bubble canopy which allowed a 360º vision. Only one prototype was manufactured that was showed at the 1956 New York International Auto Show.
