This Friday morning Ferrari became the sixth team to unveil its car for the 2017 Formula One season. The new SF70H was unveiled in Fiorano, the circuit where the car will be making its debut on track. The name SF70H was chosen to honour the 70th anniversary of Ferrari.
Design of the new SF70H
In 2017 Ferrari
has decided to bring back a fully red livery, leaving behind the white elements that had been added last season. Following the regulation changes Scuderia Ferrari
has also adopted the new thumb-tip nose as well as the same 'T-wing' concept at the rear spotted on the new Mercedes W08.
The SF70H also features the shark fin-shaped engine cover and sidepods with an agressive shape and with high, narrow air inlets.
Ferrari expecting results improvements in 2017
In 2016 Ferrari
didn't have what it took to fight for the title, losing the second place in the Constructors Standings for Red Bull. Problems with set-up, strategy and tyre temperatures throughout the season cutted the team's opportunities of victory.
For the new season Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen will once again be composing Ferrari
's driver lineup.
