Audi Sets Sales Record in 2013 with Over 1.5 Million Sold

sold 1,575,500 cars in 2013, up 8.3% from the previous year, and it had its best sales in its history in over 40 markets, including the UK.

“We set an important milestone for Audi in the past year: We achieved our intermediate strategic goal of 1.5 million deliveries two years earlier than planned, and in fact comfortably exceeded it. This means that in the past four years alone, Audi has attracted more than 600,000 new customers,” said Audi Chairman Rupert Stadler.

In Europe, Audi sold 732,300 cars, down 0.9% from 2012. Sales fell 5% in Germany, 8.3% in France, 6.1% in Italy and 3.2% in Spain. The losses were offset by 14.9% growth in the UK and 7.9% growth in Russia.

In North America, Audi’s sales in the US grew 13.5% to 158,061 cars and grew 23.5% in Mexico to 11,712 cars. The Q5Audi Q5 Gen.1Germany, 2008 > 201665 versions

had the biggest growth in the US at 40.8% and 45.1% respectively.

In the Asia-Pacific region, Audi sales grew 20.9% to 579,100 cars. Of those, 491,989 were sold in China, up 21.2%. The Indian market also grew 11.1% in 2013 to 10,002 cars. The growth in China was boosted by local production of more models like the Q3Audi Q3Germany, 2011 > present72 versions
