The Scottish company Argyll produced cars in the years between 1899 and 1932 and again from 1976 to 1990. The carmaker was initially called Hozier Engineering Company and later rebaptized as Argyll.

Argyll cars were discontinued in 1932 but a new company revived the nameplate in 1976 to produce a sports car. The new Argyll company’s poor sales led it to ultimately close again around 1990.
