The 2013 Porsche 918 Spyder is the production version of the 918 Spyder Concept.
The body on the prototype is meant to evoke the Porsche 917 and basically show the final body for the 918. The body is similar to the Carrera GT. There are exhausts just behind the driver's and passenger's head in the rear. There is also a small window between them to allow the driver to see out.
The 918 blends an internal combustion engine and electric motor. From the development version, the 918 has a 4.6l, V8 in the rear from the Porsche RS Spyder LMP2 race car tuned to 570hp. The supercar is fitted with two electric motors, one on front axle for the front wheels and one on the drive axle for the rear wheels. The motors bring total power to more than 770hp, according to Porsche. However, fuel consumption is 3.0l/100km.
